Giving dogs a

SECOND CHANCE
10 S 16th St Lafayette, IN 47905

Public Hours:
Tues, Thurs, Fri:  5-7 pm
Sat: 10 am - 3 pm

Intake/Surrender Policy:
We are NOT an open-intake facility. We are small and donation based.
We have to have appropriate space and know the dog's size, breed, demeanor, etc.

Volunteers

Without awesome volunteers from our community, we wouldn't be able to keep these dogs' tails wagging as much as they do! We depend on the outpouring of love we receive and are so grateful for it. Interested in helping out?

New Building

I guess the good part is that we have seriously outgrown our current location, and with the heavy traffic at 5-Points, it's just not as safe as we would like. The building we are in is in serious decay (it's just old) and it will not sustain us much longer. We have no room to grow, which causes us to decline intakes which saddens us that we cannot help more dogs.

Ideally, we would love to find 3-5 acres, and build a new custom structure with actual "Green Space" for the dogs to be able to run freely without restrictions of a leash.

If you can help us, please contact us for more information.

Adoption Process:

1)  Application

4) If you have other pets, we will assist with a meet and greet on Neutral Territory.

We ask for patience and grace in this process as it does take some time.

About Us

"Natalie's" Second Chance Dog Shelter is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization specializing in providing homeless dogs another opportunity at a forever home. We are a no-kill shelter dedicated to every dog that comes into our care, whether that be giving them a home before they find their permanent family or offering an everlasting sanctuary. We rely heavily on donations and volunteers from the community to be able to continue assisting homeless dogs. At our facility, we do not discriminate against the breed, age, or health of a dog. We not only accept personally surrendered dogs and strays, but we also collaborate with other shelters and rescues to rehome dogs. Thanks to people like you, we can continue our mission of giving dogs a much-needed second chance!
